Site work for a mixed-use development in Flint, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and transportation facility.

The work consists of clearing and grubbing of trees and brush, removal of existing monitor wells, and removal/incorporation of debris. It includes cutting, filling, and grading of the area to receive the cap. Construction of a cap is required, which will consist of a 1.0 ft sand (gas collection) layer, a geosynthetic clay liner (GCL), 1.0 ft of drainage layer, 1.0 ft of general fill, and 6 inches of topsoil with seeding. Additional activities include installation of gas vents, installation of pipes and structures for leachate/groundwater collection under the cap, construction of new perimeter and temporary roads around the landfill, construction of temporary and final fencing, and construction and removal of temporary drain crossings. All associated activities as presented in the specifications and drawings are also included. Bid responses require proof of State Project Registration from the Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity. Bid responses and attachments must be uploaded to SIGMA VSS, with a maximum of two attachments; one for bid documents and, if applicable, one for Qualified Disabled Veteran information. Do not wait until just before the 2:00 p.m. solicitation deadline to submit your bid response.
