Renovation of an educational facility in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project consists of replacing a failed gas-fired boiler with a new owner-supplied electric boiler at Confederation College’s McIntyre Building. The scope includes the installation of new boiler pumps, a hydraulic separator, and associated mechanical, electrical, and building automation control system upgrades. Work occurs inside the McIntyre Building, involving the demolition of existing gas piping, venting, and electrical feeds, followed by the complete installation, integration, and commissioning of the new heating water system. The project must be completed by September 4, 2026. Refer to Appendix A – Specifications and Drawings. Contractors wishing to submit pricing for this requirement must attend the Mandatory Site Visit.
