Renovation of a detention facility in Newton, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services will be receiving bids for replacement of select doors and windows at the Newton Correctional Facility, Newton, Iowa 50208. The lowa Department of Administrative Services anticipates construction to begin on June 25, 2027 and end on August 6, 2027 Base Bid. Alternates #1 thru #4 begins on August 9, 2027 and end on Sept. 17, 2027. Questions must be submitted by 2:00 pm, October 20, 2026, to the Issuing Officer. Bidders must comply with all affirmative action/equal employment opportunity provisions of the State of lowa and the Federal Government. This project is exempt from lowa Sales Tax. Davis Bacon Wages will not apply to this project. The lowa Department of Administrative Services reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive irregularities and to accept a bid that is deemed in the best interest of the State of lowa.
