Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Howard City, Michigan. Completed plans call civil work for a wastewater treatment plant.
Upgrades to the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and multiple lift stations within the collection system. WWTP improvements consist of adding tertiary treatment facilities with rapid-mix and flocculation basins, enhancing chemical feed systems, abandoning existing rapid infiltration basins (RIBs), removing accumulated sludge, and associated electrical and piping upgrades. Collection system work includes converting Lift Station No. 1 from a can-style to a submersible station, pump replacements, and control system enhancements. Lift Station No. 3 improvements include wet-well hatch and valve replacements and updated controls. Lift Station No. 4 improvements include new pumps and valves, valve chamber casting replacement, and electrical and control upgrades.
