Demolition, site work and addition to a mixed-use development in Dobbin, Texas. Completed plans call for the addition of a 1,700-square-foot fire / police facility; for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; 3,600-square-foot fire / police facility; pre-engineered storage facility; and pre-engineered storage facility.
Montgomery County Emergency Services District No. 6 is soliciting proposals to award a construction contract as herein described for the purpose defined in this document. By responding to this invitation, the parties providing Proposals (referred to herein as "Offerors") agree to perform in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in this document in the event that the response is selected for contract award regardless of whether award is made in whole or part. Montgomery County Emergency Services District No. 6 has contracted with Martinez Architects LP, 900 Rockmead Suite 250 Kingwood, Texas 77339, to provide Architectural Professional Services for the design of Fire Station 121 & 122 additions. Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 775, Texas Health & Safety Code and Chapter 2269, Subchapter F, Texas Government Code, it is the intention of the Montgomery County Emergency Services District No. 6 (the "District" or "Owner") to select via a Request for Proposals format (one-step process) a Construction Manager-At-Risk for construction of a new Fire Station. The selected Construction Manager-At-Risk is to assist the District and the project Architect with cost estimating and scheduling during the completion of the construction documents, and to construct the project thereafter as Construction ManagerAt-Risk, and perform such other functions as may be designated by the District under Chapter 2269, Subchapter F, Government Code. Bid date notes: Offerors shall submit in a sealed package five (5) bound copies and (1) electronic copy of the information requested as prescribed in Section 2.4, Submittal Requirements / Selection Criteria, items 1 thru 6, in the same sequence as listed. Only one (1) copy of the completed Proposal Form for Construction Manager-At-Risk (item 7) shall be submitted. The Proposal Form shall be submitted in a separate sealed envelope from the other information requested in Section 2.4. Sealed package shall be clearly labeled: 1. MC ESD 6 - Auxiliary Bldg. Additions at Fire Stations 121 & 122 2. RE: Request for Construction Manager-At-Risk Proposal 3. The project shall consist of the following, two (2) fire station additions under a single contract, with the option for concurrent or sequential construction phases: 1. Auxiliary Building Addition at Station 121: Located east of Loop 494 and on the north side of Farris Green Road, in Porter, Texas, the development of a pre-engineered metal structure with 1,700 sq. ft. interior space and 917 sq. ft. covered patio. Project also includes concrete, site work and storm drainage. The layout will be designed to accommodate two (2) logistics shops, climate-controlled storage and an office. 2. Fleet Canopy Addition at Station 122: Located east of FM 1314 and on the south side of Rolling Hills Dr, in Porter, Texas, the development of a 3,600 sq. ft. pre-engineered metal structure for covered parking. Project also includes concrete, site work and storm drainage. The layout will be designed to accommodate five (5) parking lanes with lights, power drops and air reels. Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of the construction cost will be required upon submission of the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP). The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals and to waive any informalities incidental thereto. Proposals not submitted in accordance with the Request for Proposal requirements shall not be scored or considered.
