Site work for a water / sewer project in Long Beach, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Work consists of replacing approximately 2,770 linear feet of existing 20-inch cast iron water transmission main with 22-inch high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe to be installed by pipe bursting methods, including insertion and receiving pits, appurtenances, connections to the existing water system, and concrete and asphalt concrete pavement restoration. The Work Site is located in the City of Long Beach, California along Orange Avenue between E Bixby Road and W Wardlow Road. Bids must be submitted electronically. Each electronic bid must be accompanied with a scanned copy of the full Bid, Bidder’s Bond, a notarized Non-collusion Affidavit, and a completed Equal Benefits Ordinance disclosure form. A hard copy of the original Bidder’s Bond must also be received by the time of the Bid Opening. In the event of a discrepancy between the line item bid schedule input in the Long Beach Buys portal and the scanned bid schedule in the specifications, the bid schedule with the lower total amount shall take precedence. Prospective bidders are required to attend a pre-bid conference with the Long Beach Public Utilities Department and its representatives, which will be an online presentation of technical parameters.
