Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Lucedale, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field.
The work generally consists of designing and constructing a 45-foot diameter flow through / gravity drain splashpad at the Lucedale Sportsplex on Cowart Street. The contractor is responsible for supplying all labor and materials as specified, and for furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to. Bidder must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show a current Certificate of Responsibility. Proposals must be submitted in duplicate, sealed, and deposited with the City of Lucedale prior to the hour and date designated. Each bidder must submit a statement of qualifications listing past projects of similar size and nature, references, key personnel, and other supporting information. Non-resident bidders must attach a copy of their resident state's laws regarding treatment of non-resident contractors. Each bidder must deposit a Bid Bond or Certified Check equal to five percent of their bid as bid security. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount. Bid documents are available via paper copy or pdf and must be purchased through the specified website. Prospective bidders must be listed as a plan holder in order to submit a proposal. The City of Lucedale reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein.
