The Lebanon County Commissioners are requesting bids for the LVRT Phase 9 Stone Masonry Arch Repairs in Swatara Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. The work involves the rehabilitation of an existing stone masonry arch culvert carrying the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail over an unnamed tributary to Swatara Creek. The project includes repairing an area of missing stones in the arch and backfilling a sinkhole adjacent to the trail. Additional work may include repointing the arch barrel along the entire culvert length and resetting wingwall stones. Sealed proposals must be submitted online via the PennBid program. Each proposal must include a Certified Check or Bid Bond payable to “Lebanon County Commissioners”, amounting to no less than ten percent of the bid total, from a company licensed in the state. The project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and contractors must pay the required minimum wage rates. Bids must be unconditional and are binding for 60 days after the scheduled closing time. Contractors must visit the site before submitting a bid. The Sponsor reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive defects or irregularities, and request missing or additional information before awarding. Bidders are bound by the statements and representations in PennDOT Publication 408 “Section 102.06(f) Anti-Collusion Requirements.” All work must conform to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Publication 408 and any amendments by contract specifications. Pre-qualification of bidders as specified in Section 102.01 of Publication 408 is not required for this project.
