Sealed proposals are requested for 519 tons of Superpave scratch and leveling course (9.5mm, in place) and 1037 tons of Superpave wearing course (9.5mm, in place). The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act is applicable if the bid exceeds $100,000. Liquidated damages are set at $975.00 per calendar day. For third class cities, a certified check or bid bond amounting to 10% of the bid, payable to the municipality, must accompany the bid. For other municipal types, it is at the municipality's discretion. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond or certified check for 100% of the contract amount within 20 days of contract award. The municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
