By way of this Market Survey/Sources Sought Notice, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, is seeking to determine the availability and capability of firms to perform repair and renovation services for POL Operations and Fuel Facilities Building 194, Petroleum Operations Building, Category Code 467650 (MR). The project includes renovation of the existing POL Operations Building to provide spaces and functional programming for the Fuel Support Command, Fuels Management, and Auxiliary operations support. All renovations must be accommodated within the existing building footprint; however, ceiling heights must be raised to meet applicable code requirements. Work includes providing a new roof with improved drainage and thermal envelope, replacement of building HVAC equipment and distribution systems, replacement of building water heating equipment, distribution systems, and fixtures, and replacement of building electrical and communications/data systems to support the proposed renovations. The existing fire alarm systems throughout the facility must be demolished and replaced with a new fire alarm and mass notification system and updated life safety systems. The project also includes construction of a Type C++ Fuels laboratory, consisting of laboratory spaces, workstations, open office areas, and restrooms for laboratory staff. The Fuels lab scope includes complete building electrical and data communications systems, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection systems. The contractor will be required to provide and implement appropriate personal protective equipment throughout the duration of the project and furnish all equipment, certifications, and licensure necessary to perform the work.
