Renovation of a mixed-use development in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

Construction work consists of replacing two existing steam-to-water heat exchangers that provide heating water to Building 1, including replacement of the associated steam control valves and the steam condensate pump. The heat exchangers will be reconfigured and lowered as necessary to allow future maintenance without major piping impacts, consistent with the conceptual sketches provided in the documentation. Existing steam control valves, currently located in inaccessible positions above the mechanical room pit, will be relocated to accessible locations to facilitate maintenance and to provide proper straight pipe lengths upstream and downstream of the valves, as shown in the mechanical room pit part plan. The existing pressure-powered steam condensate pump will be replaced with a new electric condensate pump. The abandoned and unusable flash tank will be removed and replaced with a new ASME-rated vessel. Existing convoluted condensate return piping will be rerouted within the mechanical room to provide a direct path to the new flash tank in the pit, as indicated on the mechanical room overview drawing. All work shall be performed in accordance with the detailed drawings and specifications included in the solicitation.
