Sealed bids are requested for the rebid of mechanical construction for a Powerline educational facility at Central Westmoreland Career & Technology Center. Bids must be submitted by mail to the specified address and received before the scheduled opening time. Contract Documents and Drawings must be purchased by new bidders from the issuing office, with a specified fee; digital PDFs are available at a reduced cost and at no charge for contractors rebidding. Each bid must include a certified check or bid bond for at least ten percent of the bid amount. The contractor must ensure non-discrimination in employment and pay at least the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents. The owner reserves the right to reject all bids, waive informalities, and refuse non-conforming or non-responsive bids. All bids must remain irrevocable for sixty days after opening. Emailed or faxed bids will not be accepted. Scope of Work: The Powerline Building Project is a 6,684 sf Pre-Engineered Metal Building for a Powerline education facility with classrooms, shops, teachers' offices, entrance lobby, restrooms and a mechanical room. Interior construction will be light gage framed walls, painted gypsum wallboard, acoustic ceiling tile, and LVT, as well as all HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical systems. Sitework includes utilities, storm water, asphalt patching, and concrete sidewalks. The General Construction contract will include erection of the PEMB.
