Reference Number 0000425615 This RFP is part of a State of Michigan appropriation to develop scalable management techniques for removal of muck deposits along the shoreline of Lake St. Clair. This muck grows on the lakebed of Lake St Clair. It becomes dislodged from the lakebed through wind/wave agitation, floats to the surface and eventually deposits along parts of the Lake St Clair shoreline. The purpose of this RFP is to receive proposals for best removal techniques and disposal processes for muck removed from specific locations along the shoreline. Additionally, muck will be removed from the lakebed away from the shoreline to better understand the best techniques for that type of removal and how it may alleviate future build-up.
