The City of Prineville is seeking bids for the installation of underground fiber optic infrastructure from the existing Millican Well House to the Millican corridor, then to the ASR #2 Well and Pump Station, continuing to the Heliport 4 Well and Pump Station and the Heliport tank monitoring facility. The project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, incidentals, and appurtenances necessary to construct a complete fiber optic pathway and communication connection to the ASR #2, Heliport 4, and Heliport tank facilities. The work includes but is not limited to the installation of HDPE conduit, fiber optic cable, vaults, building entry components, and related appurtenances. Installation methods may include directional boring, trenching, and plowing, depending on location, subsurface conditions, and field constraints. Work also includes installation through anticipated rock areas, connection to existing duct or vault infrastructure where shown or directed, installation of new vaults, fiber placement, testing, cleanup, and restoration of disturbed areas. PROJECT LOCATION The project is located in Crook County, Oregon. The conduit installation portion of the project includes two primary segments. The first segment begins at the Millican Well House and extends to the Millican roadway corridor within an existing 30-foot City right-of-way. Along the Millican roadway corridor, the work shall remain within the City right-of-way, which extends approximately 50 feet west from the centerline of Millican Highway to the intersection of Millican Highway and Highway 126. This segment primarily includes conduit installation, required appurtenances, and placement of single-mode fiber optic cable. The second segment continues the single-mode fiber optic cable installation to the ASR #2 Well and Pump Station, then to the Heliport 4 Well and Pump Station and the Heliport tank monitoring facility.
