The work is located north of the Town of Linden and State Route 26. The work, in general, consists of repairing and resurfacing approximately 1 mile of roadway with asphalt concrete. This is a highway resurfacing project involving approximately 1 mile of Messick Road from Duncan Road to Clements Road. Work includes cold planing existing pavement, hot mix asphalt overlay, shoulder backing, pavement repair, driveway reconstruction, and guardrail reset. May require Class A or C-12 contractor license and prevailing wage compliance. Undersigned further declares that he has carefully examined the location of the proposed work, the bid form of contract, and the plans and specifications therefore. If this bid is accepted, he will enter into a written contract with the County of San Joaquin, in the form of the contract contained in the Specifications for the project within ten (10) days after being requested to do so, and will provide all necessary bonds and insurance for Messick Road Resurfacing, in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor, and that he will take in full payment therefore the following unit prices, to wit: in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid, made payable to the County of San Joaquin. If the bid is accepted, said guaranty must be retained by said County until the required contract and bonds are executed, or forfeited to said County if said contract and bonds be not executed.
