Refurbish and rehabilitate Air Handling Units (AHU 6A, 7A, 8A, 9A, 14, 33, 39, 43) at Robley Rex Veterans Affairs Medical Center to restore them to optimal working condition, improve energy efficiency, and extend their operational lifespan. Tasks include conducting site surveys and assessments, preparing project plans and obtaining necessary approvals, coordinating coil and humidifier placement and relocation (especially on AHU 43 in consultation with the Contracting Officers Representative), arranging delivery and storage of materials, scheduling shutdowns and implementing safety procedures, removing and replacing specific components such as coils and humidifiers on AHU 43, applying a specified internal multi-layer coating system on all AHUs, re-sloping condensate pans, conducting inspections and quality audits, performing final inspections and handover with documentation, removing equipment and restoring the work area, compiling project completion reports, and providing training and support to facility staff. Contractors must ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and minimize environmental impact. Deliverables include a detailed project plan, refurbished AHUs, comprehensive documentation, and staff training and support.
