Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Vacaville, California. Completed plans call civil work for a water pump station.

The general description of work includes: The work generally includes drilling and constructing two water production wells at existing and/or designated production well sites, as well as performing step pump and aquifer testing for both wells. Question Deadline 06/03/2026 Bidders must direct all questions about the meaning or intent of Bidding documents to the City (Attention: Project Engineer) in writing. . City may not answer questions received less than five (5) working days prior to the date for opening of Bids. Well No. 23 The Well No. 23 site is located approximately 635 feet south of the intersection of Orange Drive and Auto Center Drive in Vacaville, CA as depicted in the plans. Well No. 23 will serve as a replacement for the existing City of Vacaville Well No. 14 which has reached the end of its useful service life. The design capacity of the well is tentatively 1,800 gpm. The well will be constructed of 16-inch diameter stainless-steel casing, and stainless-steel louvered well screen with a slot size of 0.060- inches to a depth of 1,660 feet. The well assembly will be installed in a 30-inch diameter borehole drilled to a depth of 1,670 feet. Well No. 24 The Well No. 24 site is located approximately 315 feet southwest from the intersection of Christine Drive and Edwin Drive in Vacaville, CA as depicted in the plans. Well No. 24 will serve as a replacement for the existing City of Vacaville Well No. 5 which has reached the end of its useful service life. The preliminary well design and well capacity is based on the construction and performance of Well No. 5. The preliminary capacity of the well is 1,500 gpm. The preliminary well design includes a 16-inch diameter stainless-steel casing, and stainless-steel louvered well screen with a slot size of 0.060-inches to a depth of 803 feet. The well assembly will be installed in a 30-inch diameter borehole drilled to a depth of 820 feet. The contractor shall drill a pilot hole, collect drill cuttings, and perform geophysical surveys in the test hole. The well owner will deliver to the final well design to the contractor withing 36-hours of receiving the finalized geophysical log. The contractor shall fill the borehole with pea gravel to stabilize the pilot until all the materials (i.e., well casing and screen, accessory pipes, and gravel) are onsite. Borehole reaming may commence after all materials are on site. Well No. 5 Destruction The water supply well (Well No. 5) to be destroyed under this Contract and in accordance with these Technical Provisions has reached the end of its serviceable life. The well site is located on the same parcel as the proposed Well No. 24. The well is located in a building on site. The building will not be destroyed as part of this project.
