Description

Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Vacaville, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.

At three trail crossings—Arlene Drive west of Arlene Way, Briarwood Drive south of Florence Drive, and Fruitvale Road between Ridgewood Drive and Parkridge Drive—install crosswalks, Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacons (RRFBs), and associated signing and striping. The Contractor must possess a Class A license prior to the award of Contract. Electronic bid submission through Bid Express is required. The bid proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the total bid amount. The successful bidder must execute the Contract, and submit payment and performance bonds, insurance certificates, and other required submittals within ten days after the Notice of Potential Award. Contractor and Subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). The successful Bidder shall furnish a Payment Bond and a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount within ten calendar days from receipt of the Notice of Award letter. Bidders must obtain a complete bid set through the Bid Express Vacaville website and be included on the official plan holders list. The project is subject to "Buy America" and "Build America, Buy America" provisions. The Contract is subject to State Contract Nondiscriminatory and Compliance Requirements pursuant to California Government Code. Wages must meet the higher of Federal or State prevailing wage rates for similar classifications of labor.
