Project Repairs to an Accessible entrance at the Grafton Senior Center, including demolition and replacement of two 30' long cheek walls, disposing of existing materials, and reinstalling metal rails. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. This ramp is located at the front of the Senior Center , and provides the primary point of access for the building . A new ramp was installed six years ago, and is experience severe spalling and chipping . This project is for the complete demolition and reconstruction of the ramp . Work under this contract includes : Demolition of the existing ramp in it's entirety , including two 30 ' long cheek walls and the removal of existing rails . Existing railing should be preserved as best as possible to be reused in the reconstructed ramp . o Providing a 1.5" Dense Grade Grave base . o Form and pour 4000 psi concrete ramp and replacement check walls . - Drill and install # 5 dowels Install #5 horizontal reinforcing rods as need Strip forms and clean all disturbed areas All concrete surfaces should be treated and sealed to protect against salt . The ramp must be installed to maintain a 7.5% pitch to ensure compliance with ADA Requirements . All concrete must have a cylinder for concrete analysis supplied to the Town of Grafton . Additionally , all incidental work is included in this bid , including but not limited to the reinstallation of an asphalt base coat , top coating include edge sealing , and any landscape repair work that may be necessary as part of this project All questions must be submitted in writing to blakew@grafton-ma.gov and sharkeyt @graftonma.gov .
