Description

Emergency masonry restoration work for the school building, specifically parapet wall repairs. Work includes dismantling the existing brick parapet down to the stone cornice/water table, salvaging reusable brick, preparing substrate, installing flashing and drainage, reconstructing the parapet, and sealant installation. Obtain all required permits to execute the work - Dismantle existing brick parapet down to stone cornice / watertable - Salvage and clean reusable brick units - Prepare substrate and inspect for deficiencies - Install through -wall flashing with proper laps , end dams , and drainage provisions - Integrate flashing with roofing system - Reconstruct parapet to match existing height , bond , and appearance - Tool mortar joints to match existing - Remove and replace sealant at stone cornice joints - Install backer rod and elastomeric sealant for watertight performance Work shall maintain building watertightness throughout construction and protect adjacent materials . A. Masonry restoration including parapet reconstruction and sealant replacement .
