Completed plans call for the addition of a 1,188-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility; for the renovation of a 3,550-square-foot fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

Proposals are being called for the construction and expansion of Fire Station #3 for the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan. The scope of work includes all materials, equipment, fixtures, services, supplies, and acts required to be done, furnished, and/or performed by the company. This encompasses structural materials (such as concrete, steel, metals, lumber, stone, aggregates), building envelope components (windows, glass, roofing systems, bricks), mechanical and electrical systems (HVAC units, generators, elevators), specialty items (prefabricated panels, major fixtures), fixtures, furniture, equipment, and transit fleet vehicles. Construction involves construction, reconstruction, demolition, repair, or renovation of a building, structure, or other civil engineering or architectural work, including site preparation, excavation, drilling, supply of products and materials, supply of equipment and machinery incidental to the construction, and the installation and repair of fixtures, but not professional consulting services unless included in the procurement. All proposals shall provide a Certified Cheque equal to 10% of the total submitted price made payable to the Municipality. All BID BONDS shall be refunded to the Bidder upon awarding of the contract. The successful proponent shall provide a Performance and Payment Bond as a requirement of contract equal to 50% of the total submitted price for the completed project. The Municipality reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part. The lowest proposal or any proposal will not necessarily be accepted.
