Site work and paving for a road / highway in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
This project includes the installation of 2,600 gallons of asphalt-based joint sealing material through cleaning and sealing of construction and random cracks within bituminous roadway surfaces. Bidders must submit sealed bids online via PennBid. Proposals must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the total proposal as a guarantee. The successful Bidder must enter into an Agreement within fifteen days after Notice of Award. Proposals shall remain firm for sixty days, and no Bidder may withdraw their Proposal during this period without forfeiting their Proposal guarantee. Performance and Labor, and Material Payment Bonds, Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance, and Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. The Municipality retains the right to award the contract to the lowest responsive, qualified, and responsible Bidder based on considerations such as quality of previous work, record of completing projects on time, history of payments to subcontractors and suppliers, maintenance of a permanent place of business, adequacy of equipment and plan to do the work, technical experience, financial stability, and other relevant factors. The Municipality also reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals or any part thereof and to waive any informality therein.
