Chambersburg Borough is requesting bids for the Limekiln Drive Bridge Replacement project. The work involves the replacement of the existing bridge with a precast concrete box culvert and associated utilities. Bids must be submitted online via PennBID by the specified deadline. Prospective bidders are encouraged to register with the designated website to receive updates and addenda. Bid security in the form of a Certified Check or Bid Bond in an amount not less than 10% must accompany the bid. All questions regarding the bid documents should be submitted via PennBid, and telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Compliance with state antibid-rigging regulations, submission of a non-collusion affidavit, and adherence to environmental statutes is required. Contractors and subcontractors must utilize the Federal Government’s E-Verify system for all employees on the project. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act applies. All bids must be irrevocable for 60 days after the opening. Chambersburg Borough reserves the right to waive defects, accept any bid or combination of bids, and reject any or all proposals.
