Market research is being conducted to identify the capability and availability of potential small business contractors to provide rental dredging equipment and associated services for maintenance dredging at multiple inland and coastal navigation projects within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District area. Anticipated future requirements include Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contracts for hydraulic cutterhead dredges and trailing suction hopper dredges to support maintenance dredging of rivers, harbors, bays, and inland waterways. The hydraulic dredge requirements include minimum pump discharge diameters ranging from 24 to 30 inches with corresponding minimum main pump horsepower, and the hopper dredge requirement includes a minimum hopper capacity of 3,600 cubic yards. All dredging operations must be fully supported with crews, management staff, and all necessary ancillary equipment such as pipelines, booster pumps, tugs, and other floating plant typically required for large-scale dredging operations. The information requested is intended solely for market research and acquisition planning purposes and will be used to assess the availability, capacity, and qualifications of small business firms under NAICS code 237990. Respondents are asked to provide details on business classification, bonding capability, technical and operational capability to perform dredging and manage subcontractors, experience on similar dredging projects, and detailed specifications of available dredging equipment. No solicitation, proposal, or offer is being requested, and no contract award will result directly from this notice.
