The scope of work will include, but not be limited to, all field layout, furnishing all equipment, labor, materials, including maintenance of traffic required to complete an application of pavement markings, either Thermoplastic or Painted, in accordance with accepted 2016 VDOT Road & Bridge Standard Specifications and in substantial conformance with the limits established by City of Lynchburg Public Works. There is no annual guarantee of work volume. The contract will not preclude the City from seeking alternate contracts on a case by case basis for new construction and existing facilities. Traditionally, the City of Lynchburg has had an average of 38 miles of roadway restriped yearly. 1.2 The contractor shall supply all material including, but not limited to, raised retro-reflective pavement markers and bituminous adhesive, waterborne paint, fast dry solvent paint, glass spheres, sand (antislip), and thermoplastic pavement markings. The contractor shall also be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, fuel, traffic control, and placement of signs. All materials shall be listed on the VDOT Approved Products List and meet their respective requirements. 1.3 City of Lynchburg will compile a list of roads to be re-striped on an annual basis to provide to the contractor.
