Sealed proposals are requested for the re-roofing project at Dadeville Elementary School for Tallapoosa County Schools in Dadeville, AL. All General Contractors bidding on this project are required to visit the site and examine existing conditions before submitting their proposal. Bidders must have general liability and workman's compensation insurance, and the project is to be bid excluding taxes. Proposals must be submitted on forms provided by the Architect, and no bid may be withdrawn for ninety days after submission. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors. Bidders must provide a certified check or Bid Bond payable to the Tallapoosa County Schools in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, not to exceed $10,000. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds are required upon signing the Contract. All bidders exceeding the limit set by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be properly licensed under Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975. Evidence of license must be displayed on the outside of the sealed envelope containing the proposal. PDFs and additional details may be accessed through the McKee website. All RFIs and RFAs must be submitted using the forms in the project manual, and only those forms will be accepted. Supervision of all work is required by the Contractor. Completion time is specified in the Project Manual.
