The City of Saskatoon is seeking quotations from qualified contractors to complete the decommissioning of existing water, sewer, and storm service connections associated with the structure located at 301 - 24th Street West (the former South Bus Barn). Operations previously conducted at this site have been relocated to the Civic Operations Centre. This work is required in advance of the planned demolition of the structure. Several of the existing service connections are no longer compliant with current City specifications and are not configured to support future redevelopment of the property. The successful contractor will be required to locate, cut, and cap all existing water, sewer, and storm service connections at the respective main lines, and restore and patch pavement at all locations where cuts or excavations occur in accordance with City of Saskatoon construction specifications. This RFQ is solely for the decommissioning of the utility service connections and is separate from the demolition contract associated with the structure. Respondents are encouraged to attend a site meeting in order to ascertain the scope and nature of the work and make all investigations necessary for the comprehension of site conditions that may affect the performance of the work.
