Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Castlegar, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a stadium; for site work for a stadium; and recreation facility.
The project is the design and construction of a new arena with an NHL-size ice rink and an overhead walking track, integrated with the existing Castlegar & District Community Complex. Qualified and experienced Design-Build firms are invited to be pre-qualified to participate in a subsequent Request for Proposals for this project. The maximum design-build contract price is up to $15,000,000, including PST and excluding GST, net of the value attributed to primary facility naming rights. This price should include allowances for design development, coordination, contingencies, escalation, and all other risks and costs to be borne by the Design-Builder. The project is highly conditional and subject to multiple approvals, including bylaw, municipal, and voter assent through referendum. Respondents should consider this conditionality when deciding whether to participate. Deadline for Questions: June 17, 2026 at 2pm PT
