General Nature of the Public Improvement Base Bid: Cumming Ave Rehabilitation includes 4,058 SY of HMA base widening, 12,657 SY of milling, and 5,161 Tons of HMA overlay of Cumming Avenue (G14) from N 50th Street east approximately 1.0 miles to N 35th Street. Work also includes improving sideroad and driveway pavement. Add Alternate A: Project includes additional 1,992 SY of HMA base widening, 5,976 SY of milling, and 2,367 Tons of HMA overlay of Cumming Avenue (G14) from N 35th Street east approximately 0.5 miles. Add Alternate B: Project includes additional 2,001 SY of HMA base widening, 5,988 SY of milling, and 2,323 Tons of HMA overlay of Cumming Avenue (G14) from end of Add Alternate A east approximately 0.5 miles to Orilla Road. This fee is refundable, provided the following conditions are met. 1. The plans and specifications are returned complete and in good usable condition. 2. And they are returned within fourteen (14) calendar days after the award of the project. An individual must call (515) 512-1361 in advance to reserve a paper copy. An electronic version of the contract documents, bidding documents, and plans are available at no cost by online. Downloads of the Contract Documents require the user to register for a free membership at online Time and Place Sealed Proposals Will be Opened and Considered Sealed proposals will be opened and bids tabulated, in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 649 N 44th Street, Cumming, IA 50061 for consideration by the City of Cumming at its meeting on June 22nd, 2026.
