Site work for a transportation facility in Spokane, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
This project consists of the installation of four depot style pantograph chargers and associated infrastructure, including conduit, wiring, housekeeping pads, structural supports, and frames. Bidders may obtain electronic copies of plans and specifications from the Purchasing Manager, and plans and specifications may be viewed on the website and at several plan centers. State of Washington prevailing wage rates are applicable. The Agency reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Use of Minority and Women's Business Enterprise (MWBE) contractors and suppliers is encouraged but not mandatory. No bid may be withdrawn after the due date unless contract award is delayed for more than ninety days. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all federal, state, and local EEO laws and regulations, and nondiscrimination is assured in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Spokane Transit Authority's Valley Transit Center (VTC) and Liberty Lake Park and Ride (LLPR) located at located at 10501 E 4th Ave., Spokane Valley, WA and 22501 E Mission Ave, Liberty Lake, WA respectively This public works project consists of the installation of four (4) depot style pantograph chargers and associated infrastructure, including conduit, wiring, housekeeping pads, structural supports and frames. This project is partially funded by a Washington State Green Transportation Grant. The project shall generally consist of: 1. Obtain and pay for all trade-specific permits and fees (to be included in bid price) 2. Obtain and pay for the City of Spokane Valley and City of Liberty Lake Building permits (cost not included in bid price). These fees will be reimbursable to the Contractor by STA with no markup 3. Establish and maintain jobsite safety and traffic control measures a. Prepare and submit a site-specific safety plan to STA for review and approval b. Prepare and submit project phasing plans for both sites to STA for review and approval c. Maintain pedestrian access outside of construction work areas, including adding temporary fencing/ramping/signage/striping to control access, to allow access to bus boarding area(s) d. Install and maintain temporary signage for pedestrian access, parking, etc. e. No interruption to STA's operations is allowed 4. Remove existing striping, paint striping as directed per plans and specifications 5. Protect existing structures, equipment, utilities, etc. to remain 6. Selective demolition as directed per plans and specifications 7. Construct structural steel frame, including foundation, and install as directed per plans and specifications 8. Construct equipment enclosures as directed per plans and specifications 9. Construct equipment pads as directed per plans and specifications 10. Install electrical conduit, wiring, transformers, meters, switches, etc. as directed per plans and specifications 11. Install owner-provided charge cabinets on housekeeping pads as directed per plans and specifications 12. Install owner-provided pantograph chargers, including pole/mast and footing, as directed per plans and specifications 13. Contractor to coordinate receiving, unloading, storage/protection, installation and final assembly of all OFCI equipment unless specifically excluded 14. If the bid option to reconfigure the existing Appleway Blvd. driveway entrance is selected, perform all work per plans and specifications and in accordance with assumed construction schedule 15. Coordinate and schedule with ABB for pole planning, commissioning, and UL stickering once equipment is installed 16. Coordinate and schedule with utility providers for transformer and meter installation as directed per plans and specifications 17. Coordinate with STA for final locations of bus wheel stops prior to installation as directed per plans and specifications 18. Record all "as-built" information and deliver to Owner as required for final closeout 19.
