After the meeting, interested parties will be invited to meet at the Central Maui Landfill, for a tour of the facility. While attendance to the pre-bid meeting is not mandatory, bidders are strongly encouraged to attend both the pre-bid meeting and site visit, as the scope of this work requires significant familiarity of the existing site conditions. Construction of the slope improvements will include demolition of existing AC lined drainage ditch, excavation, grading, exposure of existing final cover low permeability soil layer where existing grade must be adjusted to no less than 10%, construction of low permeability soil liner, and placement of lateral drainage layer, protective cover soil, and a geosynthetic rain cap.
