Reference Number 0000425886 The City of Shafter ("City") requests proposals from qualified companies to provide janitorial services ("Services") within the Core City area of Shafter. All work will be performed through a Maintenance Agreement ("Agreement"). To date, City-owned facilities are maintained by a private contractor through a maintenance agreement that is expiring. Therefore, the scope of work covered in this RFP includes all of these facilities. In addition to the work required in the rate schedule, the City may request additional janitorial services as-needed on an on-call basis through authorized task orders on a time and material basis. The Contractor, as provider of janitorial services for the City, shall be required to provide these janitorial services. The City Manager or designee shall request janitorial services with 48-hour notice except for weekends, holidays, or other special events. The 48-hour notice requirement shall be void should the designee determine that the janitorial services are an emergency and required for public health and safety. In cases of an emergency, Contractor is to provide service within two (2) hours of notification by City, and Contractor's capability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner shall be considered in scoring proposals.
