The Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada and the Walker River Paiute Tribe seek proposals from qualified Design-Build teams for a new childcare facility located in Schurz, Nevada. The project involves the construction of an approximately 6,600-square-foot facility, with federal funding compliance (CCDF/ARP/CCDBG) and adherence to TERO ordinances required. The project area is adjacent to the existing modular Walker River Child Care Center at 1030 Hospital Road , adjacent to the tribal health clinic , and near existing cultural grounds and a pow wow ceremonial area. The project area is in the southeast quarter of Section 26 , Township 13 North , Range 28 East , Mount Diablo Base and Meridian (Figure A - 1) . The new childcare facility would have six main rooms comprising approximately 4,992 square feet : 1. Infant room (approximately 573 square feet) 2. Toddler room (approximately 720 square feet) 3. Pre -school room (approximately 1,076 square feet) 4. After -school room (approximately 1,095 square feet) 5. Computer lab/library (approximately 428 square feet) 6. Multipurpose /cultural room with dining area (approximately 1,100 square feet) The facility would also include a lobby , office and storage space, restrooms, a laundry room , mechanical space, and hallways . In total , the childcare facility would be approximately 6,653 square feet in size . It would be constructed as a one -story wood structure with concrete footings , foundations , and a concrete slab - on -grade subfloor .
