New Leachate Pond - NNSWC Regional Sanitary Landfill Construction of a new leachate pond, adjacent to currently existing and operating areas of the NNSWC Regional Sanitary Landfill. You are invited to bid on a general contract. The Contract provides for the construction of a new leachate pond, adjacent to currently existing and operating areas of the Northeast Nebraska Solid Waste Coalition Regional Sanitary Landfill. Work for this Contract consists of construction of a groundwater drainage system, subgrade preparation, compacted soil liner, HDPE flexible membrane liner, geocomposite drainage layer, leachate lift station, leachate forcemains and pond inlets, leachate sewer, access roads, and perimeter fencing. Other work includes excavation, embankment, and grading, demolition of an existing leachate sewer manhole, installation of leachate evaporator systems, installation of erosion and sediment control BMPs, and final restoration, including topsoiling and seeding of disturbed areas. The Regional Sanitary Landfill is located approximately 5 miles southwest of the intersection of State Highway 15 and State Highway 32 in Stanton County, Nebraska. The existing landfill will remain in operation during the construction period for this Contract. The Contractor shall closely coordinate the Work with the landfill superintendent to avoid any delays or interruption of the landfill operation.
