The project consists of the construction of an addition and renovations to Clarkson School. There are two bid alternates. In general, the project will consist of three additions. The Area A entry addition will be a single-story addition approximately 6,400 S.F. in size having a taller entry commons, entry canopy and administration offices. The Area B Elementary addition will be a two-story addition approximately 9,500 S.F. in size having classroom spaces and includes a storm shelter. The Area C high school addition will be a single-story addition approximately 13,000 S.F. in size and includes program areas such as classrooms, metals/wood shop, ag and FCS classrooms. The new additions total approximately 29,200 S.F. Work includes concrete, steel post and beam, metal studs, masonry backup, brick veneer, architectural precast walls, aluminum storefront and metal wall panels, EPDM Roofing, as well as architectural plastic laminate casework, hollow metal frames, wood and hollow metal doors, mechanical, fire suppression, electrical, fire alarm, audio visual and related improvements. The main renovation areas within the existing building are approximately 9,000 S.F. and include the renovation of interior spaces to accommodate mechanical and electrical improvements and to accommodate the new construction additions Work to include: Exterior work includes earthwork, new utility connections, stairs, railings, retaining walls, new sidewalks, site lighting and landscaping .
