Renovation of a theater / auditorium in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for the renovation of a theater / auditorium.
The Centennial Concert Hall's communications systems that support the production of live entertainment are original to the construction of the building and are outdated. The project requires replacement of all existing production communications systems with new systems, including digital audio for program and paging throughout backstage dressing rooms, hallways, production offices, and front of house areas. The scope also includes the addition of live video to dressing rooms, offices, and screens in the front of house, using an infrared camera on the balcony rail for blackout cues. A wireless production network will be installed to allow digital communication among actors and production staff on a secured network. The project will also add a wired and wireless “Clear Com” system for production staff to communicate during setup, rehearsals, and showtime, allowing department-specific and unified communication as needed. The completed systems will provide an integrated paging and program sound system, updated Wi-Fi network, and complete video distribution system.
