Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Carol Stream, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
For Appomattox Park . Work will include site clearing , earthwork operations , concrete paving and curbs , unit paving , playground equipment installation , playground surfacing , site furnishing installati, stormwater utility piping and structure installation , and restoration . All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond , Certified Check , Cashier's Check in the amount of 10 % of the Base Bid , payable to the Carol Stream Park District . No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty ( 60 ) days after the bid opening date , without written consent of the Carol Stream Park District . The Carol Stream Park District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies , equipment , services , and construction . The contractor ( s ) selected will also be required to comply with all federal , state and local laws , rules , regulations and executive orders pertaining to equal employment opportunity .
