Description

Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Cumberland, Maryland. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 6,180-square-foot fitness / recreation center.

Allegany College of Maryland is seeking proposals from qualified contractor/design teams to complete a design/build project to convert an approximately 6,180 square foot indoor, in-ground pool and surrounding space in the Physical Education Building into a new fitness center. The winning bidder will provide all drawings, specifications, and construction services for the project, delivering a “turn-key” solution from design through completion of construction. The project includes engineering, design, and construction to transform the current pool area into a fitness center for students, faculty, staff, and the community to use as a year-round health and wellness space. The selected design/build team will collaborate with College stakeholders during the early design phase to establish a clear project direction. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will take place in the Physical Education Building's Swimming Pool room. Prospective bidders should direct questions about the specifications and requests for site visits to the College's Director of Physical Plant. Deadline for questions : July 8th, 2026 by 4:00 p.m. EST
