Site work for a civil project in Bondurant, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
Construct improvements including all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the construction of water and sewer force mains along NE Hubbell Avenue as shown on plans. Work includes clearing and grubbing, approximately 15,300 linear feet of 14” HDPE sanitary sewer force main using a combination of trenched and trenchless methods, approximately 958 linear feet of 14” HDPE sanitary sewer force main installed via trenchless methods inside of a casing pipe, approximately 10,700 linear feet of 30” HDPE water main using a combination of trenched and trenchless methods, approximately 400 linear feet of 30” HDPE water main installed via trenchless methods inside a casing pipe, air release valve pits, butterfly valves, hydrants, fittings and appurtenances, and miscellaneous associated work including cleanup. Also included is Bid Alternate A consisting of approximately 48 linear feet of 18” HDPE water main installed via trenched methods, approximately 230 linear feet of 18” HDPE water main installed via trenchless methods inside a casing pipe, gate valves, one hydrant, fittings and appurtenances, and miscellaneous associated work including cleanup. All work and materials are to be in accordance with the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost on file at the City Clerk's office. Proposals must be submitted on official bidding blanks furnished by the City, sealed and plainly identified, and accompanied by bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities and technicalities, and enter into a contract deemed in the best interest of the City. The successful bidder will be required to furnish bonds equal to 100% of the contract price. Compliance with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act is required, including efforts to employ Section 3 workers and businesses, maintain records, and meet applicable numerical goals. Additional requirements include compliance with Executive Order No. 11246, involvement of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), prevailing wage rate requirements, and use of Iowa products and labor where lawful. Final award is subject to approval by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
