This project includes construction of public infrastructure improvements in southeast Bondurant, Iowa, north of Interstate 80, along 32nd Street SE between Eisenhower Drive SE and Vermeer Drive, and along Vermeer Drive, approximately 2,600 feet east of Pleasant Street SE. The improvements support development of the Vermeer industrial manufacturing facility and provide access, utilities, and stormwater infrastructure for the surrounding area. Phase 1 includes approximately 2,600 linear feet of reconstruction of 32nd Street SE, converting the existing rural two-lane gravel roadway to an urban three-lane Portland cement concrete (PCC) section, along with approximately 1,500 linear feet of new roadway construction on Vermeer Drive. Major items of work include approximately 29,000 cubic yards of earthwork, 19,000 square yards of PCC pavement, 3,500 linear feet of storm sewer, 5,800 linear feet of sanitary sewer, and 1,600 linear feet of 12-inch water main, including associated appurtenances and surface restoration.
