Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Carson City, Nevada. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The project involves the Runway Safety Area Grading and Drainage Project at Carson Airport. The scope of work includes removing the stopway, extending the runway 1000 feet to the north and 500 feet to the south, and repaving the existing portion of the runway. The runway 33 glide slope will be relocated, and the new runway 33 localizer, which has already been installed, only needs to be activated. The localizer for Runway 15 will remain in operation as it will be outside the future Runway Safety Area. The project is federally funded and subject to BABA requirements. It is considered a horizontal construction project. Bidders are highly encouraged to attend a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting. All questions must be submitted in writing before the deadline, and late questions will not be considered. Sealed bid proposals must be submitted before the specified closing time and late bids will be disqualified. Sealed proposals will be publicly opened and read at the designated location and time. There is no specific DBE goal included as part of this project.
