Reference Number 00005066919 Fraser Health Authority (FHA) intends to proceed with a Direct Award to Elander Inspections Ltd. for their services as the mechanical consultant services for the New Surrey Hospital and BC Cancer Centre. The scope of work includes inspection of the piping systems and development of the quality control program for all steam and hydronic piping within the hospital. FHA has chosen not to undertake a public tendering process for the following reasons: o Elander Inspections Ltd. has a proven, fully developed quality program specific to healthcare environments and has specific experience on other health authority projects. o Elander Inspections Ltd. will support the standardization of procedures for this type of service across health authority projects. o Elander Inspections Ltd possess extensive industry experience, including recent work at Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH). o Technical Safety BC has recommended Elander Inspections Ltd. based on their high quality of work already performed at RCH. o Their previous experience with the health authority and their established processes align with the specific project requirements and the tight timelines associated with this work. o Elander Inspections Ltd. are registered with and compliant with all applicable WorkSafeBC requirements. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Requests for proposals for design services is underway.
