Site work and new construction of a recreation facility in Lexington, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 42,000-square-foot, two-story above grade recreation facility; and for site work for a recreation facility.
The project consists of a New Recreation Facility to be constructed on Greenhouse Road across from Rockbridge County High School on approximately 14 acres and consists of four gyms, walking track, training, conference rooms, administrative offices and support spaces. BONDS: Each General Contractor must submit, with the Bid Documents, a bid bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid from a bonding company licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as described in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful General Contractor will be required to furnish and pay for performance and payment bonds from a bonding company licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as described in the Instructions to Bidders. All Bids shall remain valid for a period of forty-five (45) days after the scheduled bid due date. Withdrawal of bids due to error shall be in accordance with Virginia Code Section 2.2 - 4330. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Owner.
