Sealed proposals are requested for furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment required for the "INDIAN CREEK VILLAGE -- WATER MAIN" project for Sanitary and Improvement District 404, Douglas County, Nebraska, as per the plans and specifications at the locations shown on the detailed drawings. The work consists essentially of the following approximate quantities and items: - Mobilization - Installation, maintenance, and removal of silt fence - Connection to existing main - Construction of various sizes and types of water pipe, valves, tees, bends, reducers, sleeves, sampling taps, fire hydrants, and accessories - Installation of seeding and exploratory excavation All proposals must be submitted on forms furnished by the designated engineering firm and must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than $22,500. A contract and maintenance bond in the amount of 100% of the total contract price is required. No proposal may be withdrawn for sixty days after the date set for the opening of bids. Proposals must be properly enclosed, sealed, addressed, and marked as specified. Bid security must be in a separate sealed envelope attached to the proposal. The work will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder in accordance with the requirements of the plans and specifications and as provided by law. The district reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. The amount of the engineer's estimate is $360,000.00 .
