The Utilities Department, Wastewater Services Division uses nitrogen gas to purge the headspace of anaerobic digesters during start-up and shutdown procedures at the Primary Treatment Plant. A qualified contractor is sought for the delivery of industrial grade nitrogen gas, suitable for inserting/purging process equipment, to be delivered twice per year to the City of Modesto Regional Water Recycling Facility - Sutter Campus. Deliveries are to be made Monday through Thursday, within specified hours, and must include a bill of lading that is left with City staff. Bidders must submit their bids electronically, become familiar with all specifications and site conditions, and agree to all terms by submission. Any exceptions to the specifications must be clearly identified. The agreement will be between the City and the selected bidder, with no contrary terms allowed from the bidder. Bids not submitted as required or after the deadline will not be considered. Additional instructions include the requirement for the submission of specified forms, acknowledgment of IFB documents and forms, confirmation of bid pricing with no alterations, and compliance with insurance and indemnity requirements.
