The work consists of furnishing all necessary labor, equipment and material (to the extent requested) for the emergency/priority repair, replacement, and installation of water mains, water service connections, fire hydrants, and other appurtenances and facilities within the water distribution system at various locations. Contractor must be able to respond within two hours of notification on a 24/7/365 basis and complete the work promptly as directed. Bidders must submit a Bid Form, Contractor’s Qualification Statements (relating to staff, resources, projects completed/in-progress, and financial condition), and a Non-Collusion Affidavit. Bid, performance, and payment bonds are not required, but 10% retainage will be held for 120 days after completion of individual projects valued at $25,000 or more. The contract is for one year with possible extension up to two additional years in one-year increments, with all terms and conditions remaining the same. The award is based on the lowest bid calculated on the Bid Form and subject to the bidder being deemed qualified and responsible. The awarding entity reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to utilize its own workforce for any project if it so elects.
