The Town of Kitty Hawk is requesting proposals from experienced and qualified firms to enter into contracts at no immediate or annual cost to the Town for disaster recovery services. The required services include clean-up, demolition, removal, reduction, and disposal of debris resulting from natural or manmade disasters as directed by the Town, in order to eliminate immediate threats to public health and safety. Services also include the elimination of immediate threats of significant damage to improved public or private property, and to property essential for economic recovery. Additionally, contractors must provide disaster recovery technical program management assistance for reimbursement of eligible damage costs from federal and state agencies. The contract is primarily focused on debris generated by tropical weather (storms/hurricanes) and uses US Army Corps of Engineers debris estimating models for scope estimation. The contract will be for three years, with options to renew for up to two additional one-year periods, and will be used on an as-needed basis. Proposals require submission of one original and two copies; the selected bidder should have an electronic copy available upon request.
