Site work for a water / sewer project in Pana, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Bids are invited for Watermain Improvements, including two contracts: Paving/Concrete/Masonry, which covers the removal and replacement of pavement throughout the project area in locations of water main system replacement, and Plumbing, which covers the purchase and installation of materials necessary to remove, replace, and construct additional water mains, including fire hydrants, gate valves, meters, service lines, bore work, and trench backfill. Bidders must submit a certified check, bank draft, negotiable U.S. Government bonds, or a Bid Bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid. The work must comply with Federal prevailing wage requirements, Section 3 requirements (24 CFR Part 75), and equal opportunity employment provisions. Bidders must not be excluded from participating in federal assistance programs and must meet all AIS requirements. Bids may be held for up to 30 days for review and qualification checks before awarding the contract. Additional requirements include compliance with the Business Enterprise Program Act for Minorities, Females, and Persons with Disabilities, completion of a Utilization Plan, advertising for a minimum of 14 days in a local newspaper with proof of publication, and adherence to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act, and Illinois Works Job Program Act.
