Ryder, Litchfield, IL 62056, Attention: Vickie Throne. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The City of Litchfield is soliciting sealed bids for the milling and resurfacing of E. Prairie Street and Illini Court . The project consists of milling the existing asphalt pavement , cleaning the milled surface , and placing a new asphalt surface course . Total project area : Approximately 4,805 square yards . project area : Approximately 4,805 square yards . 2. SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor shall furnish all labor , equipment , materials , supervision , and incidentals necessary to complete the work described herein , except as specifically noted . Work shall include : A. Milling Mill the entire project area to a depth of 1.5 inches . Remove all loose material and thoroughly clean the milled surface . The City of Litchfield will provide haul trucks for removal of millings . The City of Litchfield shall retain ownership of all reclaimed asphalt millings (RAP ). B. Surface Preparation Sweep and clean all milled surfaces immediately following milling operations . Ensure the pavement surface is clean and suitable for placement of new asphalt . Apply tack coat in accordance with Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT ) requirements prior to paving . C. Asphalt Resurfacing Furnish and place a 1.5 -inch compacted asphalt surface course . Asphalt mix shall be N -50 , State of Illinois approved mix meeting current IDOT specifications . Place and compact asphalt to provide a smooth , uniform surface free of segregation , bumps , depressions , or other defects . All joints shall be properly constructed and sealed .
