Proposals must be submitted electronically on the Quest CDN website. Construction will take about 32 months to complete and will involve the following : Excavation and tunnel shaft construction in both soil and rock with depths ranging from 20 to 80 feet (blasting may be utilized ) Tunneling in both soil and rock Open -cut construction of new or replacement sanitary and storm pipes ranging from 12- to 42 - inches with depths exceeding 35 feet , Controlled and limited demolition of both publicly and privately surface features including pavement , sidewalk , concrete traffic islands , landscaping and related features , decorative walls , signage , etc. , Restoration and in - kind replacement of the above - mentioned surface features as well as a new paved lot Abandonment of existing sewers and manholes Grading and final surface restoration Ancillary construction activity such as traffic control devices and bypass
